With Apple's iPad firmly established as the benchmark for all adult tablet style computers, it was pretty obvious to us that it wasn't going to be long before a big toy manufacturer came up with a children's version. Vtech's InnoPad is just that invention - and it looks set to raise the bar on children's electronic entertainment products. Most importantly, the tough outer plastic casing is designed to be as 'kid proof' as possible to survive the inevitable rough and tough treatment it's likely to receive amongst kids that may argue over 'who's turn next'!
Great looking, fun to use and designed for children as young as four years old, the InnoPad is packed with fancy features that are available on the ultra-bright, 5-inch touch-screen display. For the technical minded there are plenty of integrated applications such as an address book and calendar for keeping track of all those important appointments. That's only the start though; InnoPad also has a notepad function, a calculator and an in-built MP3 player for all the favourite tunes and talking books. It's great as a games machine too, with a slot for VTech games cartridges based on popular children's animations and cartoons. An in-built tilt sensor means that kids can get the maximum amount of fun during games play. Microphone and headphone jacks are also included in this amazingly highly specified toy.

Running out of memory needn't be a problem with the InnoPad. An SD slot can be used for providing extra memory, and a USB connection means that parents can connect it to the home PC or Mac and download extra stuff from a dedicated resource website from Vtech.
In addition to all this functionality, VTech's InnoPad features built-in strategy games, an art studio and an e-book reader. Best of all though... If children have the Vtech Kidizoom 3D or Kidizoom Twist cameras they can transfer their images onto the InnoPad and manipulate them on the big bright screen. We can see kids having hours of educational fun on Vtech's awesome InnoPad from the moment the box is ripped open, and with plenty of integrated features to get started with.
